The article analyzes the practice of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, a technical body created by the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, with the main function to consider the submissions of the coastal states regarding the outer limits of their continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles from the baselines, including its internal documents and recommendations following the submissions of coastal states.
